From 7 to 16 August 2026, Monterey Car Week hosted around a dozen world premieres: supercars, hypercars, limited series, one-offs and concepts. Here is every debut of the 2026 edition, with the ScanRacer articles already published on each of them.
What to remember from the 2026 edition
Friday 14 August at The Quail concentrated most of the world premieres. The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance closed the week on 16 August for its 75th edition.
Three trends stand out. First, the return of the naturally aspirated V12 and the manual gearbox, carried by the Gordon Murray S1, Hennessey Blackbird, Spyker C8 Preliator XXV and RUF Ehra. Second, one-offs from manufacturer bespoke programmes: Bugatti's Solitaire, Ferrari's Special Projects and Porsche's Sonderwunsch. Third, very high-output hybrids, with the Lamborghini Revuelto SV and the Czinger 21C Spyder.
The debuts already covered on ScanRacer
Lamborghini Revuelto SV
The Super Veloce version of the Revuelto combines a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 with three electric motors for 1,065 CV and 1,425 Nm. Lamborghini claims 0-100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and limits production to 1,963 cars.

Bugatti Destrier
The third creation of the Solitaire programme, the Destrier reuses the Bolide's carbon monocoque and 1,600 PS 8.0-litre W16 under a body designed for concours d'elegance. Around one metre tall, it is a single example.

Gordon Murray S1
Revealed at The Quail, the S1 keeps a central driving position, a 4.2-litre Cosworth V12 rated at up to 690 PS at 12,100 rpm and a genuine manual gearbox. It is limited to 64 cars and aims at road use rather than the track.

Hennessey Blackbird
Inspired by the Lockheed SR-71, the Blackbird rejects the hybrid hypercar formula: a 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 rated between 800 and 850 hp, a six-speed manual, less than 1,360 kg and a screen-free cabin. Motor1 and Magneto report 71 cars at 2.5 million dollars.

Czinger 21C Spyder
The open-top version of the 21C pairs a 2.88-litre twin-turbo V8 with two front electric motors and a motor-generator, for a claimed 1,250 hp and 330 km/h. Its tandem cockpit, driver in the centre, remains the clearest identifier. Production is capped at 30 cars.

Ferrari CZ26
A one-off from the Special Projects programme delivered to an American client, the CZ26 uses the SF90 Stradale's powertrain — a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 and three electric motors, 1,000 CV — under a completely redesigned body and cabin.

Koenigsegg CCGT1
A tribute to the competition CCGT that a regulation change made ineligible in the early 2000s, the CCGT1 is this time road-legal, with a factory track pack available.

Porsche 911 Flachbau RS
A single example built by Sonderwunsch from a Weissach-package 911 GT2 RS 991.2. The mechanicals are untouched — 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six, 700 hp — but the slant nose revisits the 935 and the 1980s 911 Turbo Flachbau.

Marc Philipp Gemballa Marsien GT
The Marsien GT drops the off-road brief of the original Marsien for a road-focused grand tourer based on the 992 911 Turbo S. Its twin-turbo flat-six, developed with RUF, exceeds 830 hp and 930 Nm. Thirty cars are planned.

Recognizing these cars on the road
Most of these models exist in fewer than a hundred examples, sometimes only one. Spotting one is a matter of luck, and they are exactly the kind of car automatic recognition gets wrong: the underlying platforms are familiar (SF90, Bolide, GT2 RS, 911 Turbo S, Diablo) but the bodywork is unique.
The cues that work are the usual ones: the lighting signature, the shape of the air intakes, the wheel design and the C-pillar line. Each article above sets out the three or four details that settle the question, including when AI hesitates.
One photo, one identification: the ScanRacer app scans a car spotted on site and finds it again in the library.
