The 2026 Flachbau RS fits into the broader evolution of the 911, a car that has become stiffer, faster and more sophisticated over time while keeping its core identity. The dossier for the 911 notes that recent generations have mainly gained efficiency, comfort and electronic sophistication without giving up the rear-engine layout. This car takes that heritage in an even more exclusive direction by using a 911 GT2 RS Type 991.2 as its base.

Its known specification points to a very high-level package: a 3.8-litre twin-turbo engine, 700 PS, 750 Nm, rear-wheel drive, a seven-speed PDK gearbox and expanded aerodynamic capability through a Manthey kit and a rear wing inspired by the 911 GT3 R rennsport.
