- The result remains a prediction to review, especially for similar generations and modified cars.
Photo privacy
In anonymous mode, the photo is sent for identification but is not added to your garage or published to the community. If you choose to publish, ScanRacer asks you to sign in, requests your consent, and applies plate blurring by default.

Questions about photo identification
Can I identify a car without an account?
Yes. You can upload a photo and view the identification result without creating an account. ScanRacer only asks you to sign in if you choose to publish the photo to the community.
What can ScanRacer recognize in a photo?
ScanRacer suggests the make, model, likely year, and several predictions when the image shows enough distinctive details.
Is my photo published automatically?
No. Anonymous identification does not publish the photo. Publishing is a separate action that requires your consent, acceptance of the terms, and sign-in.
How can I improve the identification result?
Use a sharp, well-lit photo showing the whole car from a front or rear three-quarter angle. Avoid digital zoom, strong reflections, and heavily obstructed vehicles.
