Bugatti Destrier Base: key facts
The third creation from Bugatti's Programme Solitaire, the Destrier reinterprets the Bolide's extreme technical base as a concours-focused design. Only one example exists for a specific owner.
How can you recognize the Bugatti Destrier Base?
At roughly one metre tall, it is described as the lowest Bugatti ever designed. Wheels measure 20 inches front and 21 rear. The interrupted C-line, wider horseshoe grille and Sapphire Celeste paint are its main visual markers.
Engine and technical specifications
Beneath the body are the Bolide carbon monocoque and powertrain. Its 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 produces 1,600 PS, although Bugatti emphasizes proportion and craftsmanship rather than lap times.
History and positioning
Its name refers to the medieval war horse. Bugatti also connects the project to the Type 57, whose architecture supported both the racing Type 57G and the Type 57SC Atlantic.
Production and availability
A 1/1 marking on the oil cap confirms its one-off status. Its public debut is scheduled for Monterey Car Week and the 2026 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
