Peugeot 208 2019
The 2019 Peugeot 208 Base belongs to the model’s second generation, introduced as the 208 moved to a new platform and a new styling direction. It sits within Peugeot’s city-car line that replaced the 207 and helped redefine the brand’s image through the i-Cockpit. In the 2019 generation, the 208 adopts a more angular body, a stronger front end, and a more digital interior layout. The Base trim represents an entry-level specification; no extra details are provided in the dossier, but it still carries the core identity of this generation.

History
The 208 was launched in 2012 as the successor to the 207 in Peugeot’s city-car range. From the outset, it became a showcase for the brand’s new interior approach, with the i-Cockpit combining a small-diameter steering wheel, raised instrumentation, and a central touchscreen. The first generation was offered with three-door and five-door bodies depending on market and year, and later received a mid-cycle update that changed the front end, rear lights, and some equipment.
In 2019, Peugeot introduced the second generation, known as P21. This was more than a styling refresh, as the car moved to the CMP platform and was engineered from the start for both combustion and electric powertrains. The e-208 joined the range at launch. The design became sharper, with more pronounced headlamps, a wider grille, and a three-claw light signature. Within this range, the Base version sits at the entry point of the lineup, in a generation that was later updated in 2023 without changing its fundamental identity.
