History
The Huayra project started in 2003 when Horacio Pagani sought to update and replace the older Zonda, originally designed in the early 1990s. Following eight years of development and refinement, the first Huayra Base coupé was launched in 2011. This model marked a new design philosophy centered around aerodynamic efficiency and active aerodynamic elements. Maintaining a Mercedes-AMG twin-turbo V12 close to 6 liters in displacement, it offered approximately 700 horsepower with a target weight of 1,350 kg. The Huayra Base represented a unique balance of extreme performance and aerodynamic mastery within Pagani’s lineup.
