History

Following the presentation of the C-X16 concept in 2011, Jaguar decided to produce a roadster inspired by the E-Type, but with a modern interpretation. Production began in March 2013 at the Castle Bromwich plant in the United Kingdom. The first production model, bearing chassis number 001, was presented to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust during the opening of the Jaguar Gallery at the Coventry Transport Museum on August 1, 2013.
