Audi Q3 Sportback 2025

The 2025 Audi Q3 Sportback builds on the second-generation Q3 platform while adopting a lower, more tapered profile than the standard Q3 SUV. In the German-market specification, the five-door body seats five and uses a unitary steel construction. Overall length is 4,531 mm, and luggage capacity is quoted at 488 litres, rising to 1,289 litres with the rear seats folded. Height varies from 1,546 to 1,581 mm depending on version, reflecting the Sportback roofline. The 2025 range includes petrol and diesel engines, all paired with a 7-speed S tronic transmission.

History

The Q3 first appeared in spring 2011 as a smaller and more accessible addition to Audi’s SUV range than the Q5. The first generation, internally known as 8U, already used a five-door body format and a raised driving position. In Europe, its early range combined four-cylinder TFSI and TDI engines with manual or S tronic gearboxes depending on the version, plus quattro on selected configurations. A major update arrived for the 2015 model year, bringing revised styling, updated engines and broader assistance and equipment availability.

The second generation, launched in 2018 as F3, moved the model forward in space, connectivity and design. It introduced the octagonal Singleframe grille, sharper body surfacing and a more modern cabin. In 2019, Audi expanded the line with the Q3 Sportback, a coupe-style interpretation of the F3. The 2025 model belongs to that same family and continues the formula established by the Sportback: keep the Q3’s technical base while giving the car a more dynamic appearance. Exact visual and mechanical details still vary by market and engine choice.

Production

The dossier does not specify the assembly sites or production volumes of the 2025 Q3 Sportback. It only states that the second-generation F3 model line was produced in Hungary and that the Sportback belongs to that family, introduced in 2019. For the 2025 model year, the car is documented for the German market through Audi AG electronic technical data.

Evolution

Compared with the Q3 SUV, the 2025 Q3 Sportback keeps the same technical basis but adopts a more sloping roofline and a less upright rear end. The dossier notes that, at the Sportback’s launch, height was about three centimetres lower than the standard Q3, which helps explain its more expressive character. For 2025, the body remains a five-door, five-seat layout, with a length of 4,531 mm, width of 1,859 mm excluding mirrors and a wheelbase quoted between 2,678 and 2,681 mm. The stated 488-litre boot remains a practical highlight. These dimensions and the model’s flexibility place it between family utility and a more athletic visual stance.

Variants

The 2025 range covers several petrol and diesel combinations, all paired with a 7-speed S tronic gearbox. At the entry level, the TFSI 110 kW produces 110 kW and 250 Nm, uses front-wheel drive, reaches 207 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.1 seconds. The TDI 110 kW shares the same output but delivers 360 Nm, a WLTP consumption figure of 5.8 to 5.3 l/100 km and a 0 to 100 km/h time of 9.2 seconds.

Higher in the line-up, the TDI quattro 142 kW switches to quattro all-wheel drive with ultra technology, offers 400 Nm and completes the 0 to 100 km/h run in 7.5 seconds. The 150 kW and 195 kW TFSI quattro versions use the same all-wheel-drive layout, with 320 Nm and 400 Nm respectively. The most powerful version reaches 240 km/h and records 5.7 seconds for the 0 to 100 km/h sprint.
