History
The DBX707 belongs to the first generation of the DBX, the model that brought Aston Martin into the SUV market. The regular DBX entered production at St Athan in 2020, at a facility dedicated to the DBX family. Aston Martin unveiled the DBX707 at the beginning of 2022 to position the range at the top end of the performance-SUV class. The engineering work involved far more than a power increase. The twin-turbocharged V8 gained ball-bearing turbochargers and a bespoke engine calibration. The regular DBX automatic gearbox was replaced by a wet-clutch unit designed to handle the higher torque load and deliver faster launches. Aston Martin also revised the all-wheel-drive system, rear differential, suspension settings, braking hardware, and aerodynamic package. The first customer car was completed at St Athan on May 9, 2022, ahead of the model’s staged deliveries to international markets.

Evolution
Compared with the regular DBX V8, the DBX707 represents a substantial technical development rather than a simple engine upgrade. Aston Martin increased output by 157 PS and torque by 200 Nm, while the wet-clutch transmission enables quicker shifts and an integrated launch function.
