RUF EHRA: key facts

The RUF EHRA is an in-house-developed sports car built around the Pfaffenhausen manufacturer's proprietary carbon-fibre monocoque. Its 3.6-litre twin-turbo flat-six produces 650 PS and 900 Nm, paired with a seven-speed manual gearbox and switchable variable all-wheel drive.

RUF claims 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and a 340 km/h top speed. With a 1,325 kg EU kerb weight, the EHRA combines supercar performance with a compact 4.21-metre footprint.

Why is it called EHRA?

The name refers to the Ehra-Lessien proving ground in Germany. RUF achieved one of the defining milestones in its history there by setting a high-speed record with the CTR “Yellowbird”.

In 1987, the CTR reached 339.8 km/h during a test organised by the American magazine Road & Track. Nearly four decades later, the EHRA claims almost the same speed through a modern architecture developed entirely by RUF.

How can you recognize the RUF EHRA?

Its proportions immediately recall the rear-engined sports cars that established RUF's reputation, but the EHRA is not based on a converted Porsche bodyshell. Its carbon-fibre monocoque and lightweight carbon bodywork are developed by RUF.

The widened body uses newly designed front and rear fascias. Its aerodynamic surfaces improve cooling and high-speed stability while retaining a deliberately restrained silhouette.

A 650 PS twin-turbo flat-six

The six-cylinder boxer engine displaces 3,600 cc. It produces 650 PS, or 478 kW, at 6,250 rpm and reaches its 900 Nm torque peak at 3,500 rpm.

Its unusual feature is a genuine seven-speed manual gearbox. RUF's variable all-wheel-drive system can be switched off, allowing the driver to choose between four-wheel traction and rear-wheel-drive behaviour.

A 1,325 kg carbon monocoque

Carbon-fibre structure and bodywork help limit EU kerb weight to 1,325 kg. The EHRA measures 4,207 mm long, 1,871 mm wide and 1,278 mm high.

All four wheels use double-wishbone suspension with horizontally mounted pushrod spring-and-damper units. This arrangement brings race-car-style suspension geometry while freeing space around the wheels.

Consumption and availability

RUF quotes combined fuel consumption of 13.0 l/100 km, CO₂ emissions of 307 g/km and efficiency class G. These figures, like the performance data, are manufacturer claims.

RUF does not state pricing, production volume or a detailed delivery schedule on the launch page, so ScanRacer does not estimate them.
