In 1996, a facelift was performed, including a new grille and redesigned rear lights. That same year, the Satria GTi was introduced, equipped with a 1.8-liter engine producing 140 horsepower, with suspension tuned by Lotus to enhance handling. In 2004, the Satria Special Edition was launched, offering aesthetic improvements without major mechanical changes.
