JAC history

Established in 1964 as Hefei Jianghuai Automobile Factory, JAC Motors has evolved into one of China's leading automobile manufacturers. Initially focused on producing trucks and buses, the company expanded its range to include passenger cars, electric vehicles, and automotive components. In 1997, it was renamed Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd. In 2001, JAC Motors was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, strengthening its market position. The company has also formed strategic partnerships, notably with the Volkswagen Group in 2017, to develop electric vehicles.
