Mercedes-Benz GLA with EQ technology: key facts
The new-generation Mercedes GLA becomes a multi-energy family. It initially launches with three fully electric variants before electrified combustion versions arrive, using MB.OS software and an 800-volt electrical architecture.
How can you recognize the Mercedes-Benz GLA with EQ technology?
An illuminated grille, connected light signature, panoramic roof and MBUX Superscreen distinguish this generation. Boot volume reaches 410 litres, plus a 107-litre front boot on electric versions.
Engine and technical specifications
The electric GLA 200 produces 165 kW with a 58 kWh LFP battery. The GLA 250+ reaches 200 kW, while the GLA 350 4MATIC produces 260 kW and hits 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. Both higher versions use an 85 kWh NMC battery. DC charging reaches 320 kW and can add up to 270 km in ten minutes.
History and positioning
The GLA retains its compact urban SUV role but gains a longer wheelbase, more cabin room and a slightly lower silhouette. Mercedes schedules the electric versions for market launch in November 2026.
Production and availability
Range and charging figures published at reveal time are preliminary. Mercedes quotes up to 657 km WLTP and plans another 71 kWh NMC battery for early 2027.
