ScanRacer FAQ
Quick answers to common questions (AI scan, library, uploads, API).
What is ScanRacer?
ScanRacer is a community-powered car encyclopedia. You can scan a car with AI, upload photos, and explore make/model pages.
How do I scan a car with AI?
Go to the Scan or Upload page, send a photo, then confirm or correct the suggested identification (make, model, year).
Can I fix a wrong identification?
Yes. The goal is to improve the database and the AI: you can correct the identification if the suggestion is inaccurate.
Are my photos public?
If you add them to the library, they can appear publicly on make/model pages and on your public profile.
What content is allowed?
Only upload photos you have the necessary rights to use. If in doubt, avoid uploading.
How can I request content removal?
Contact the team via the Contact page with links and supporting details. ScanRacer handles takedown requests case by case.
What is the Library (Librairy) for?
The library groups make/model pages and community galleries to quickly find information and visual examples.
Is there an API to integrate recognition?
Yes, an API is available via RapidAPI for developer use cases and integrations.
Does ScanRacer store license plates?
The site offers tools related to license plate blurring. For processing and retention details, see the Privacy page.
How can I improve the visibility of my contributions?
Upload sharp, relevant, well-framed photos, and verify the identification. Pages and galleries highlight useful contributions.
